Convert sensitivity to mass limits in Jupiter masses

Parameters:
  • mag_sens (array-like) – Sensitivity limits in Vega magnitudes. Assumes absolute magnitudes unless dist is set to something other than 10 pc.

  • filt (str) – NIRCam or MIRI filter name.

Keyword Arguments:
  • dist (float) – Distance in parsecs. Default is 10.

  • age (float) – Age of the stellar system in Myr. Default is 100.

  • linder_models (bool) – Use BEX models from Linder et al (2019) instead of AMES COND models? Default is True.

  • file (string) – Location and name of COND or Linder isochrone file.

  • extrapolate (bool) – Extrapolate to mass limits outside of Linder model range? Uses COND for upper range, and low-order polynomial fit in log-space for lower range. Default is True.
